It is impossible to give a specific reply to this question. Herbal medicines can often be very effective in treating chronic conditions. Such conditions have often developed over a considerable period of time. Common sense would tell us that such conditions can not be successfully treated medically in a few days! If you have never tried a herbal medicine previously, a little patience initially is required. It does take a little longer than with allopathic medicine before noticeable benefits are seen - two or three weeks sometimes, but the benefits tend to be of a more lasting nature, and without side-effects. Our dosages have been agreed with the Medicines Control Agency. As with any medicine, if you take less than the stated dosage, or frequently miss dosages, then progress may be very much reduced.

As with any type of medicine, no herbal medicine could possibly be effective in all cases. Wherever possible, we do try to offer alternatives, so that with a little experimentation initially, you will be able to find the medicine which suits you best.

Most of our products can, but obviously, soft-gel capsules contain gelatin, and a trace of gelatin is present in the coating process of a few coated tablets. If you are vegan or strict vegetarian, if in doubt, please enquire about specific products prior to placing your order.

No. Most of our medicines are effective without the complications of a special diet. However, reducing aids are recommended for use in conjunction with a calorie-controlled diet, and there may well be cases, apart from this, where at the commencement of the use of herbal medicines, a client is already on a doctor-prescribed diet which should be continued until progress makes a gradual pulling-away from the diet both warranted and safe.

We regret that we cannot offer consultative or diagnostic advice. For obvious good reasons, the law forbids this on a postal basis. If you are uncertain as to the nature of your complaint, we would advise you to consult your own doctor for a proper diagnosis before selecting any medicine.

If you are taking prescribed medication, but wish to find an effective herbal substitute, we would advise that you take both together initially, and only “wean” yourself off the prescribed medication gradually as and when the benefits of our medicines become apparent.
