Many users have found Devils Claw beneficial where muscular stiffness is a problem, and to help maintain joint mobility. In The Times in September 2004, Dr. Ann Walker, a senior lecturer in nutrition at Reading University, was quoted as saying that Devils Claw is an “outstanding herb for back pain”, and she said that studies have shown that volunteers experienced a “greatly reduced incidence of muscle spasm while their ability to touch their toes increased greatly when they took Devils Claw”. Trials have indicated that it can affect blood sugar levels in diabetics, therefore we advise that this herb is not taken by DIABETICS, except under close medical supervision.
